All I know is that you have some, um... complicated feelings that you obviously don't want anyone to see. I don't know why. I can't say I agree with it, with what little I do know... and I get the feeling it's not something you would ever want to converse about.
But... you're still a person. You're still Akechi. Just a much more... complex Akechi than what most people see.
...
I... won't pretend like your words and actions haven't hurt. I can't ignore that. That doesn't change how I feel about wanting you to be okay, though, or... wanting to treat you decently.
I didn't do a very good job of that last week. So I... I don't blame you for holding it against me.
[Oof is right. She talks and talks, and Akechi just... stares at her. Wary. In disbelief. Not quite understanding her. Complicated? Complex? Just call him an asshole and get it over with.]
I hurt you, and you still want to be around me. That's...
[Ridiculous? Stupid? Dangerous? All of the above...? His gaze slides away from her as he trails off, eyebrows furrowed.
...]
Do whatever you want. I don't care.
[That's probably the closest thing to a yes she will squeeze out of him.]
[She'll stay quiet until they've entered the infirmary, making sure that both of the adjacent doors are closed.]
If you could please take off your shirt. You can use the bed if it suits you.
[Whether he does or not, she's already grabbing a few things. Gloves, antiseptic, bandages... she hesitates on the suture kit before placing it on the counter, just in case.]
I meant what I said. You can ask whatever you'd wish, so long as you allow me to do this. I... I'll answer to the best of my ability.
[He has taken off his shirt so many times in the past weeks, so her request isn't something he deliberates on for too long. It takes a bit of effort, given the the state of his torso, but his shirt gets neatly folded up and placed on the bed once he's done. For now, all Luna will see are some hastily applied bandages and a smattering of bruises all over his upper half.
But, while he's doing this:]
You didn't answer my question from earlier. How do you benefit from this?
[If you're gonna be just business, Akechi, then so is she. Well... as best as she can, at least.
Gonna take a closer look at you, twink detective. She knows he has one on his arm and his side, but what else are we looking at here?]
It's a close guess. What happened on Wednesday was intentional. I... believe was linked to Ash the whole week, and I... um... lost my temper numerous times. Sometimes irrationally so. I knew from previous conversations that the failure of some of my higher level processes would be something that a human mind apparently can't take. But I only meant it to gain space. And yet, I... I took it too far.
[It's easier to be just business once that facade of his has been stripped down, you know. Luna already saw how unpleasant the alternative is.]
Because of the effect from sleeping in the chapel?
[WELL... There's a lot going on here, so. Uh. The gashes on his arm and side are the worst of it for sure. But beside that, there are scratches on his other side and scratches on his back, which trail up his neck. Both of these sets look like something with blunt fingernails was desperately clawing at him, digging their fingers into him until they broke through skin. Additional scratches are visible just above his waistband, and there are more on his face. This set looks like claw marks from a literal animal.
His left arm is littered in smaller, scabbed over injuries, but these are way older than the rest. If Luna is removing the bandages to look at everything else, she will notice that 1) he obviously didn't have access to sutures when the deeper injuries happened, and 2) he's been using too much hydrogen peroxide because the skin looks dry and slightly irritated.]

Trust you?
[He doesn't understand. He can't understand. He... It would make more sense if she wanted to hurt him, not help him.]
Shouldn't that be my line? After all, you already know that I'm...
[A horrible person, really.]

She'll carefully extend a hand out, a delicate gesture to follow.]
Please. Take your time.

... Let's just get this over with.
[He empties his glass in two or three quick sips, slipping the notebook into his pocket before he stands up on his own. Lead the way, Luna.]

Because taking care of a human being is something I'm inherently programmed to do.

You're like 45-san, then. A machine.
[Matter-of-factly. There's nothing in his tone that suggests he's repulsed or put off by it.]
Did you crash your own system on Wednesday and Friday? You were out of commission for a while.

[She'll swallow dryly.]
Friday was... different.
